RoHS Compliance

Johnstech International certifies to the best of our knowledge, based on the best and latest information conducted to us via Vendor Certifications and Annual Testing done by a Certified Lab (using both XRF Scanning and Chemical Absorption Testing), that the materials used (and/or processes employed) in our products do not contain (or add) homogenous material that:

  • contain Cadmium (Cd) in excess of 0.01% by weight (100 ppm)
  • contain Hexavalent Chromium (Cr VI) in excess of 0.1% by weight (1,000 ppm)
  • contain Lead (Pb) in excess of 0.1% by weight (1,000 ppm) in any form
  • contain Mercury (Hg) in excess of 0.1% by weight (1,000 ppm)
  • contain Polybrominated Biphenyl (PBB) or Polybrominated Diphenyl Ether (PBDE) in excess of 0.1% by weight (1,000 ppm)

OR, when used as alloying elements, do not:

  • contain Lead (Pb) in excess of 0.35% by weight (3,500 ppm) for Steel
  • contain Lead (Pb) in excess of 4.0% by weight (40,000 ppm) for Copper
  • contain Lead (Pb) in excess of 0.40% by weight (4,000 ppm) for Aluminum

Since March 1, 2007, all packaging material for Johnstech International’s products will be labeled with the symbol. This symbol meets the China RoHS labeling standard and will signify that the product does not exceed the Maximum Concentration Value (MCV) for all six of the hazardous materials (listed above).
